Resources to Teach Global Education

COR hosted our school in their Women of Change: The Legacy of the 19th Amendment exhibit. One of their historians also met us at Dix Park to walk in those soldiers’ footsteps, discuss who they were and where they came from, what freedom means, and how the world was watching the outcome of the Civil War, especially after President Lincoln’s assassination.  

This is a rich resource for planning meaningful field trips in NC. The NC Archives met us at COR to present documents showing NC women's efforts for suffrage and comparing those to Britan's efforts. They led us in making zines and provided the materials.

It's so encouraging to see that NC DPI has global resources and recognitions for both teachers and schools.
